Coconut milk (hang kati) is made from the second pressing of a freshly grated meat of a mature coconut, whereas coconut cream is derived from the first pressing. Hence, coconut milk is very similar to coconut cream but contains more water. The difference is mainly in the consistency; coconut milk is generally a liquid, while coconut cream has a thicker, more paste-like consistency. Both coconut milk and cream are prepared from 100% natural and fresh coconuts.Coconut milk comes usually in three different saturated fat levels: 8-10%, 17-19%, and 20-22%.
